Responsible for a team of 24 System and SAN Administrators managing varied Unix and Windows systems used for ground-processing, prepping, and repairing the Space Shuttle for missions, as well as systems used for business application and company functions.• Prepare yearly HW/SW budgetary obsolescence planning (~ $1 million or less)• Prepare HW/SW Long Range Business Plan for company systems (~$2 million or more)• Execute monthly reviews of recurring HW/SW maintenance costs• Develop yearly technical training / travel plans for staff and work to budget• Provide Project Management leadership for various IT projectso Data Center Relocationo Component, Data, and Domain transition to NASAo Data Center Consolidationo Yearly DRCOP planning, testing, execution, and status reporting• Provide general direction for team administering 380 server platforms, supporting over 1000 applications. (Peoplesoft, Documentum, SharePoint)• Build expertise within team by training and mentoring methods• Assign proper skill mix on project teams to provide best fit and success• Execute regular reviews of project(s) status; resolve issues • Provide guidance to ensure technical direction, cost, and schedule are met• Prepare presentations and present to Executive Team• Support ITIL implementation
