Directly responsible to the Battalion Commander and ensure the staff is coordinated and synchronized during decision making processes and other staff actions; manage and moderate all update briefs. Establish and enforce all standard operating procedures and ensure the command team is fully informed of all matter affecting the command. Supervise and evaluate eight subordinate commanders.

  • Operations and Intelligence Officer

    Superintending operations officer, reporting to the Battalion Commander, for the 450th Transportation Battalion providing direction and oversight to the operations department. Developed, implemented, and oversaw all operations, while receiving guidance from the Battalion Commander directly leading to mission success for the Battalion. Support, assist, and guide all 549 Soldiers within the Battalion, ensuring they are able to best support the Battalion's mission and objectives. Personally, established the real-time tracking ability of cargo through the use of RFID technology for the first time ever at a training exercise. Serves as a Division level asset for enforcing priorities as well as assigning cargo to units for allocation against truck assets. Published a distribution network design detailing route usage, requirements, and limitations to be used for cargo movement and restrictions. Gathers daily intelligence, requests for movement, and operational moves to create a daily movement matrix which allows for route synchronization of all movements to resolve issues with areas of confliction and limitations.

    Responsible for the health, welfare, readiness, discipline, and safety of 20 assigned Soldiers and 91 multi-national civilian contractors in multiple locations throughout Iraq. Provided logistical movement control support to 33 percent of the operating bases in Iraq. Provide full operational support to assure the success in tracking, planning, and monitoring the movement of 1,600 convoys while relocating around 15,000 pieces of cargo on all movement modes. Ensured that Soldiers received meaningful training that allows them to grow professionally and operate in a truck marshaling yard, air strip, and an operations center.

    Production lead of a multitude of a gypsum based product manufacturing line, averaging over 1000 tons per week. Individually crafted and developed a tracking method and the program to accurately gather efficiency ratings of each crew as well as each individual operator. Create efficient production runs in Microsoft Excel after analyzing order data from OneLISA gypsum sales coordination program. Ensuring that the production is completed in a manner that is in full compliance with all safety, environmental, quality, and customer requirements. Utilize the TRAX system to document any near miss and provide follow up. Updated the communication method between shift supervisors to ensure all relevant information and decisions were disseminated throughout the department and instill a common direction for all managers. Work closely with maintenance personnel, while utilizing MOE and the MP2.net system, to determine priority of work with regard to value adding improvements as well as scheduling special projects to not interfere with on-going operations. Directly supervise 38 personnel covering 5 departments including deconflicting scheduling vacation, overtime, and oversight of the Kronos time clock management system. Liable for creating a work environment and business practices that are within the standards set forth by the contract with USW Local #571. Volunteered to serve as the Housekeeping Process Champion for the plant, assigned area responsibility for commons areas including unused portions of the plant, allowing for increased ownership at a personal level. Actively served as part of the driving force to automate and streamline our production process to adequately track downtime and determine the bad actors to better focus maintenance efforts.
