• Fulfilled a long-term dream of working with Habitat for Humanity by joining the board of directors for the DeKalb affiliate. Served as vice president for 12 months and was named president in July 2018.• Worked closely with Habitat for Humanity International, our board and our executive director to develop, implement and oversee a strategic action plan with the goal of tripling fund-raising and doubling the number of homes we build each year by 2020.• Stressed the importance of visual story-telling, using video, social media and other tools to share Habitat for Humanity’s inspiring story – and help the DeKalb affiliate raise additional funds and solicit more volunteers.• Co-chaired the organization’s annual awards ceremony.
