    With over 30 years experience in the Vacuum Tube Industry Malcolm Carruthers is a highly respected TWT Engineer and Manager having worked with companies throughout the world on the development of helix travelling wave tubes (TWT’s) for use in Satellite Communications, Jamming, Decoy Applications and Guidance Systems. Additionally as Principal Applications Engineer for e2v he was the sole US based applications support for all of e2v's RF Power Products including Magnetrons, Thyratrons, TWTs and MPMs. He was recently elevated to the level of Senior Member within IEEE based upon the recommendation of his peers in the vacuum tube industry. In 2013 he was invited to be a plenary speaker at the IEEE International Vacuum Electronics Conference in Paris and he is well versed in both the origins and current trends of TWT design and manufacture together with best practice methods for all types of vacuum devices. Available for consulting on all aspects of Vacuum Tube design, manufacture, specification and for troubleshooting for end users that may not have specific TWT expertise.
