    Responsibilities and accomplishments:• Prepared and filed the Texas royalty reports for oil and gas for the Texas General Land Office and the University of Texas. This included filing the initial estimated returns and the amended/true-up returns with the actual tax liability totals associated with actual revenue. Reported over $130M for 2021. • Filed and processed amendments and payments for prior year’s production.• Researched and resolved exceptions sent by the various state regulatory agencies.• Produced responses to SOX and regulatory agency audit questions.• Prepared and analyzed monthly account reconciliations for the various filings.• Created and utilized Excel, including pivot tables, INDEX, SUMIF, VLOOKUP and various other functions to facilitate the compilation of reporting data.• Customized with IT on implementing the initial set-up of our Waterfield and Oracle software for the various filings. • Worked with IT in resolving various issues with new releases of our accounting software.• Coordinated between the engineering department and an outside consultant for the Texas High Cost gas wells to be certified for lower tax rates. Created and updated a monthly spreadsheet of the wells through the process that was distributed to engineering management. • Partnered with various departments and an outside consultant to collect the information needed to report Ad Valorem filings. Created Ad Valorem binders of the information sent to outside consultants, tax bills by state, and of the JIB Upload.
