    This has easily been the hardest and most rewarding "job" of my life. I embarked on this great chapter after my wife and I swapped roles of who worked and who stayed home. I have been involved in my children's daily lives from them being toddlers and into their school years, experiencing all the fun and frustration that goes with the job description. Through cooperative preschool and elementary school, working in their classrooms, and helping and getting to know their teachers, my eyes were opened to how important it is to set a solid foundation and appreciation for learning at a young age. I am very proud of the students and learners that my children have become. I know I am lucky to have spent this time with them. Recently, I have utilized more free time during the school day to begin investing in real estate and finding and managing investments in local businesses. I have enjoyed meeting inspired individuals with great ideas. Educating myself about local investing and the "art" of real estate has been fun and motivating. My time at "Hudson Household" has been a wonderful whirlwind of life experiences and learning.

    At the startup, Enroute, I was an integral part of helping establish the company. Enroute used advanced technologies and relationships with shipping companies to help businesses with a high volume of parcel shipping to be much more efficient and cost-effective. Enroute grew and was eventually purchased by Pitney Bowes and was integrated into their suite of shipping solutions.

My team managed all aspects of retail technology and technical infrastructure for the entire organization. I have over 10 years of managing, growing, and improving the technical landscape at Zumiez. I focus on speed, flexibility, keeping costs low and excelllent internal customer service so the company could provide great customer service.

Assisted senior auditors with financial audits and corporate office operational audits.Post college "real" job. Wore a suit every day :)Ernst folded in 1996 to 1997 timeframe. I returned to Zumiez before that ship went down.
