    The Heavy Oil Asset Information Management Programme involves extensive analysis and integration to conform Shell's Heavy Oil Asset Information to the global asset standard and heirarchy. This Programme spans from Capital Projects to Operations and Maintenance data as the entire process of collecting accessing changing and maintaining Engineering Asset data is to be affected. The business integration portion of the programme involves the analysis of the existing processes, procedures, parallel projects and initiatives to implement the HOAIM Programme in an effective sustainable manner.My role has been to build the reference data model for the entirety of the Heavy oil business, that consists of the information in existence throughout multiple, multibillion dollar operating assets all with conflicting existing standards from a multitude of overlapping systems. This information forms the framework of all the information to be captured in the Engineering Data Warehouse. The scale of this task pales in comparison to the complexity, but it is near completion and has been an incredible experience.

This planning enabled the owner/operator to maintain existingengineering data pertaining to operating plants, to be updated to current software versions without designer rework.• Developed standards and auditing criteria for models and drawings for Structural, Architectural and Civil disciplines, to create aunified direction for all Contractors, so future projects will be executed consistently, reducing future rework.
