    Administrative Support/Receptionist: Answer phones, answer client questions, maintain and file treatment records. Purchase and Maintain an ample supply of massage oils, alcohol, towels, sheets and other necessary supplies within the work area and for retail sale. Advertising: Research similar businesses to determine competitive advantages; write ads and other marketing materials; network to increase customer base, and maintain an adequate supply of brochures and business cards for client distribution. Bookkeeper: Maintain all records, manage accounts; prepare tax forms and financial statements. Client Assessment: Assess clients' soft tissue condition, joint quality and function, muscle strength, and range of motion. Client Intake: Confer with clients about their medical histories and any problems with stress and/or pain in order to determine whether massage would be helpful. Other Modalities: Use complementary aids and a variety of modalities in order to promote clients' recovery, relaxation and well-being. Teamwork: Consult with other health care professionals such as physiotherapists, chiropractors, physicians and psychologists in order to develop treatment plans for clients. Refer clients to others when necessary. Treatment: Massage and knead the muscles and soft tissues of the human body in order to provide treatment for medical conditions and injuries or wellness maintenance.
