Legal Assistant
-
Feb 2011 - May 2016
During my 5 years with Farley & Dimmock, I ran the front desk answering all phone calls and greeting each person that walked in due to appointment or not. I made sure the conference room was always ready for meetings. During the time that I was not working with clients, I would manage the office calendar, maintaining the attorney's schedules and paying close attention to conflicts that may arise. Communicating through e-mail and fax is another main part of my job. Making sure invoices went to the correct person and documents saved to the computer files when necessary. As time went on I learned how to draft a few litigation documents. My job title of Legal Assistant is really quite vague as to my job duties would be placed under Secretarial as well as Paralegal. I did all sorts of jobs that were asked of me by the attorney's, paralegals, as well as occasionally duties given by the bookkeeper.
