    Applied DionisosFlow and CougarFlow software to the Shelburne sub-basin to understand the distribution of sediment for the Middle–Late Jurassic and the delivery of sand into deep-water.• Successfully modeled the geological evolution and sediment distribution of the Shelburne sub-basin for the Middle–Late Jurassic, performed sensitivity analysis on the model and identified parameters that had the highest impact on sediment distribution.• Interpreted simulation results and their effect on de-risking exploration offshore Nova Scotia, presented key findings to the Nova Scotia Department of Energy and Mines, regional conferences, and to my colleagues.• Compiled and collected geological data to build forward stratigraphic models of the Shelburne sub-basin, interpreted the implications of using geologically constrained values versus unconstrained values, and identified issues with modelling in frontier basins.
