Chair of the Transition Board

May 2019 - Aug 2023

Edmonton, Alberta, Canada
Northlands has undergone tremendous change over the past 10 years. As a past Chair of the Board (2007 to 2009), three former Chairs (Dr. Bob Westbury, Gerry Yuen and myself) stepped up to guide Northlands to explore several organizational options. With the guidance of former CEO, Mr. Ken Knowles and former shareholder Ms. Alyssa Haunholter, we successfully worked a transition that provides a viable future with Explore Edmonton. These two organizations working together contribute greatly to the economic, social, and cultural life of the community. In 2023, we directed the remaining surplus funds held by Northlands to Lakeland College who will use these to establish annual scholarships for students in their agriculture program. More details will be forthcoming soon.
