    Summary:Draxlmaier Automotive of America Duncan is a first tier supplier for BMW. During my time there, they were preparing for a $30 million facility expansion due to a recently acquired contract. As the Logistics Intern, my main role was to assist with the preparations for the expansion. This involved collecting project updates from various department members, taking notes during meetings, and taking on various subprojects (such as conducting various time studies, coordinating the re-positioning of a crane, and expediting the transportation of materials). I also worked closely with the Environment and Sustainability department and lead the effort to more effectively manage the several tons of plastic scrap generated weekly via regular production. Main Responsibilities:•Maintained the flow of information from the facility departments to the expansion coordinator•Conducted time studies for scrap production, material handler routing, material handler utilization, and trailer yard utilization•Updated the material handling equipment inventory data and supplied a detailed description of each asset's current role•Trained and managed the personnel responsible for organizing and maintaining the empty receivables warehouse•Researched and pursued alternative methods for production scrap management•Created a training video detailing the Complete Knock-Down warehousing process flow•Recorded meeting minutes during facility expansion related meetingsKey Achievement:• Resolved onsite buildup of production scrap by conducting time studies, designing a scraptransportation plan, and negotiating the plan implementation details with the recycling vendor

    Summary:ISES Corporation is a facility maintenance management consulting firm. My role as Junior Engineer was to assist with the Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing Asset Management part of the business. Typical contracts would involve updating (or even creating) building equipment inventories and supplying the clients with equipment-specific procedures for maintaining the equipment throughout their respective life cycles. Main Responsibilities:•Inventoried all in-scope MEP equipment on job sites•Updated and maintained an organized repository for each client's inventory data•Data-mined for manufacturer recommended equipment maintenance procedures •Processed inventory data and maintenance procedures into the client's specified deliverable formats, whether those were tailored Excel documents or uploads to an inventory management system (such as AMS)•Assisted with the training of new Junior Engineers•Recorded all job related expensesKey Achievement:•Planned and successfully completed a week-long inventory of 50 buildings, in Los Angeles, California, that covered a total of 1,000,000 square feetNote:This was a CO-OP.     Summary:ACTS is a Thomasville local Heating, Ventilation, and Air Condition company that does business in all parts of Georgia. As the Assistant Shop Manager, I was tasked with providing support for the HVAC installation teams on both residential and commercial job sites. This involved delivering tools and equipment, fabricating duct, and hands-on assistance with installation. I would also go on residential service calls to help correct HVAC failures. Main Responsibilities:•Used building plans to determine HVAC duct sheet metal requirements•Processed sheet metal into duct by operating a plasma cutter and other associated tools •Transported duct and air conditioning units from the shop to the job site•Assisted with the assembly and installation of HVAC systems•Assisted with the diagnosis and repair of HVAC systems•Explained the diagnosis and repair requirement to clientsKey achievement:•Designed and fabricated the duct system for a large addition to a local middle school in 2.5 days.Note: The owner, Mr. Barry McCray, graciously allowed me to work their for two summers (2012 and 2013) between college semesters.
