    It was an honour to be chosen as judge for the Mal Peet Children's Award, as part of the East Anglian Book Awards, organised by Jarrolds, the East Daily Press and the National Centre for Writing. Selecting winners from a plethora of quality writing was difficult, but it was a delight to choose Karen Li's 'The Golden Mango Tree' as the winner.
