    I think this was my genuine career start as a communicator between society, culture, organization and people. Started translator between Newsweek USA's original news script and Newsweek Korea's version. Soon expanded career to writer covering social and cultural issues. And also making stories related Korea's top-notched tech companies in various industries, interviewing tech founders and CEOs. And the most excitingly, experienced full procedure of book-making throughout selecting subjects, doing interviews, writing articles and all the producing management works of an extra book titled "This is Rock, 이것이 록이다" commemorating Rock Music's 50th anniversary. Newsweek Korea is a child company of JoongAng Ilbo, one of the largest daily newspapers in Korea. JoongAng Ilbo once fully owned by Samsung and later legally separated from it but still ever owned by close relatives of Samsung. Newsweek Korea is one of several licensed Newsweek global syndicated editions including Japan, Poland, Russia, China and so on. A full year from 2007 to 2008, dispatched as Newsweek Korea's correspondent to Newsweek HQ in NYC, USA. Spent a year in the HQ office near Columbus Circle area. Making stories of Korea-related issues in USA and global. Doing a liaison between Newsweek HQ and Korea. Witnessed USA's one of the most exciting moments in the modern history to elect the first African-American president. All the time very precious experiences. And it was a decisive moment for me to distance and see myself and get a confidence as a global citizen. Simultaneously witnessed sadly legacy media's losing their social and moral influences.

    A Representative Digital Contents company of CD-rom era. This company was private but paid a huge public contribution on transforming traditional analog contents into digital version. Lots of huge projects done by the time. Digital version of "Encyclopedia of Korean Culture, 한국민족문화대백과사전" originated from The Academy of Korean Studies 한국학중앙연구원(구 한국정신문화연구원). And the most valuable product is the CD-rom full package of "Annals of Joseon Dynasty, 조선왕조실록." And many other Korean authentic history, culture, nature related contents. It regrettably turned out the company was not easy to survive in early 2000 with digital contents in Korea. But the contents! It served public deeply and hugely indeed. Very precious experience of working there.

    The largest organization among Korea's mass market oriented book-publishers associations. All the Korean popular and well-known publishers are its members. Joined at the very first burgeoning time of the organization. Managing its publishers’ academy of yearly program and producing bi-monthly magazine of "Good Books of This Month." This magazine had met audiences and readers in every named bookstores and public libraries in Korea. This was an accidental job for me but finally gave me the unexpected pleasure to work in publishing industry. From this, I got a good lesson. Unexpected accident can make your life different. Therefore, just do it and it will tell you something later. This time was the notorious IMF's bailout program era deeply inscribed in the Korean modern history, meaning many young Korean generation couldn't get their dream or enough deserved job by themselves because almost all the job opportunities shut down.
