    Grocery store stockers don't have much interaction with customers, but occasionally, customers will ask where to find a certain product, and the grocery store stocker should help those customers with a friendly attitude and assist them in whatever way is needed. Sometimes, customers will need assistance reaching a product on a higher shelf, and a grocery store stocker may take on this duty as well, depending on the store's policies.Sales Floor Duties is to keep the shelves neat, labeled and well stocked with products. They are responsible for setting up and taking down various displays at the ends of aisles or near the entrance of the store. They also keep aisles and general walking areas clean of boxes or debris to prevent injuries of customers or coworkers. An important duty is being aware of the expiration dates of products, so that older products can be taken off the shelves and newer products can take their place. Depending on the store and its policies, some grocery stockers may be asked to get carts from the parking lot and organize them inside the store for easy access for customers. Stockroom Duties Grocery stockers must make sure the stockroom is kept neat and clean, which may mean sweeping regularly each night. They must take the garbage and recycling items out regularly.When trucks arrive with new products, grocery stockers may have the duty of helping to unload the trucks and take care of stock in the stockroom, organizing it as need be. They are also responsible for checking the inventory and making sure each invoice has proper billing information and that any overages or shortages of products are immediately reported to their manager.
