    Ira Edwin Owen Jr. (2014-2017) VP ENVIRONMENTAL SERVICES- SEABURY (an Active for Life Care System in Bloomfield Connecticut). Mr. Owen has over 34 years of experience in governmental, institutional, commercial and residential projects. He has performed as an Owner/General Contractor spanning 26 years. Mr. Owen graduated from Mississippi State University with a Bachelors of Science in Interdisciplinary Studies and a Master’s of Science in Green Building/MBA programs at the San Francisco Institute of Architecture. Mr. Owen is responsible for Facility Management of a 65 acre site containing 40 Villas and Cottages, Memory Care Center and Out Patient Care Facility; a central building containing 196 apartments broken down into Independent Living Assisted Living, and Skilled Nursing Units. Mr. Owen is the Owners Representative/Construction Administrator for a three phase construction project valued at $80 million dollars; this project is broken down into an Independent Living Building, Existing Building, Build-Out and a Clinical addition to a present facility. He is also responsible for 3 solar array projects totaling 1.3 mega watts of power with General Electric Company, install of a $2.0M emergency generator project and a ($1.2M) Geothermal project consisting of (32) 900 foot deep wells yielding 650 tons of heating and cooling capacity. He is also responsible for the implementation and certification of an all-inclusive Green Sustainable Program for the 65 acre site and construction project; of which phase I ($9.0M Build-Out) construction has been awarded a Green Globe II certification; Phase II a $55M concrete and wood 4 story structure consisting of 68 independent living units and 3 story concrete and steel medical wing also awarded a Green Globe II certification which is noted as the 1st not for profit active for life care community campus in the nation to receive this certification.

    Jacobs North America: (2012-2014) Mr. Owen performed as a QA/QC Architectural/Structural Reviewer Manager on a 40 acre site consisting of 5 structures (Clinic, Hospital, Parking Garage and Central Plant), totaling 2 million square feet with a program budget of 2 billion dollars.Jacobs North America: (2010-2012) Mr. Owen performed initially as an Architectural Structural Reviewer overseeing the GAS, Sunbelt Region, Armed Forces Retirement Home, Gulfport Ms. Valued at $240 million dollars, 650,000 SF LEED GOLD structure, built on a fast track schedule. Additional responsibilities were added toward the end of the conclusion of the project. These duties were oversight of civil/landscape reviews, commissioning on-site coordinator, MEP Reviewer, LEED site coordinator and on-site CM/QC Representative to the AFRH-G staff for existing and additional projects. Mr. Owen provided functions and special project advisories to the AFRH Facility Director. He additionally provided preconstruction scope of work task parameters and reviewed the GSA contract documents on a daily basis as well as providing quality control measures for fifteen + separate projects. These projects ranged from LEED signage to structural bridge placement and considered an added value/enhancement to the existing building with a cost of $1.325 million dollars.

Acted as liaison to the Owner/Design Team and the Contractor for the coordination and dissemination of critical project information to and from concerned agencies, insuring the highest quality finished product was delivered to the Owner in a timely and efficient manner. At the final phase of project completion Mr. Owen assisted in the review of the closeout documentation process and the 12th month ending warranty commissioning issues.
