    As the Country Representative I am responsible for managing and advancing the mission and objectives of CRS in Zimbabwe providing strategic leadership for staff, programs and partnerships. I am also responsible for advancing the agency's reputation and impact within the country and for monitoring and mitigating risks and liabilities. I execute business development efforts, manage and steward resources, champion program growth strategy, develop and enhance partnerships while leading a diverse workforce and overseeing a multiyear country program budget.

    I provided programmatic leadership and technical assistance to seven country programs in the Southern Africa region (South Africa, Lesotho, Zimbabwe, Zambia, Malawi, Mozambique & Madagascar) across areas of business development, program design, implementation, standards and learning. The regional program portfolio focused on: child and youth social services, nutrition and livelihoods, climate action, peace building, emergencies and local leadership capacity. I coordinated strategic partnerships and collaborations with governments, regional organizations, universities, civil society networks, international development partners, donors and the private sector.

    I effectively led a USAID/CDC funded system strengthening program for delivery of sustainable social services to vulnerable children and youth across 32 States of Nigeria with a total program value of $10.5 million. As Chief of Party, I successfully championed engagement and collaboration efforts with 32 local government authorities from all project states while providing effective and inclusive leadership to a multi-cultural team of 40 project staff and consortium partners in line with the program goal while executing donor and government representation and engagements.

    I effectively led a USAID funded grant providing social services to 250,000 vulnerable children and youth. As Program Director, I provided strategic program leadership including technical design, planning and implementation coordination through expanded successful partnerships with 5 State Governments, 4 consortium partners, 50 civil society organizations and the Federal Government of Nigeria. Effectively providing financial oversight of a $40 million multi-year program budget through responsive sub granting, capacity building and sub recipient monitoring to 50 local implementing partners. The role entailed leading mitigation of complex programmatic and operational risks, and a multicultural workforce of 45 national and international staff.

Managed partnership with the Southern Africa Development Community and East Africa Community to develop Regional Frameworks and Minimum Package of Services for Children and Youth to guide Member States resource allocation and implementation. Led development of communication strategy resulting in effective cross regional policy dialogue and influencing.
