    I am actively engaged in teaching and research. I was on Lien/Deputation to Treasurer's Office to serve as the Treasurer of NSU (Chancellor's appointment during 2015-2018). Now I am back to the Department of Economics as Professor after completing my four years' term appointment as Treasurer. During my Treasurer role I have also served as Acting Pro-VC (routine duty: two in one) for more than 2.5 years and as Acting VC (routine duty: three in one) for more than 6 months at NSU. As Professor I have also served as the acting Treasurer (routine duty) for 1 year 10 months (2013-2014).

    01. Introduced automated course registration and payment system at NSU under direct supervision; As a result, long line of students for hours has been eliminated for ever.02. Introduced special academic calendar during hartal or blockade, introduced joint academic and event calendar for the whole year; introduced single calendar for both graduate and undergraduate students at NSU;03. Introduced speedy processing system for transcripts, certificates etc. (processing time reduced from several weeks to several hours); 04. Introduced semester-wise degree review system; In the past it was annual whereas students are graduating every semester;05. Simplification and up-gradation of undergraduate and graduate admission system; 06. Introduced the fastest processing of merit list for financial aid recipient on the basis of admission test result and their award giving ceremony on the orientation day;07. Introduced campus-wide faculty orientation system in each semester; 08. Supervised the introduction of online grade checking and submission with validation and course load checking for faculty members;09. Speedy processing of faculty hiring from home and abroad (speedy completion of faculty hiring well ahead of new semester);10. Increased the number of Ph.D. faculty members as Department Chair;11. Minimized the number of part-time faculty members and strictly controlling the requirement of teaching courses by at least foreign Master’s degree holder;12. Up-gradation of undergraduate and graduate admission requirement (from GPA 7 to GPA 8 for undergraduate and GPA 2.5 to GPA 2.75 for graduate level entry);13. Formulated rational policy for phasing out of probation students;14. Hired best faculty members globally through advertisement in Higher Eds and Chronicles of Higher Education; Made salary scale more market oriented;15. Introduced undergraduate semester final exam schedule in such a way that time conflict is being minimized.

    01. We got approval for ACBSP accreditation of Business School of NSU for the first time in the history of Bangladesh during my tenure as acting VC;02. Set up Institutional Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC) at NSU under the World Bank funded project of UGC;03. Highlighted NSU through electronic media (ATN-Bangla, ATN News, Bangla Vision, Channel 24, Rtv);04. Faster processing of administrative files through proper distribution of work and supervision;05. Worked closely with Board of Trustees, Government, Ministry of Education, foreign universities and missions, parents and guardians for uplifting the quality and image of NSU;06. Speedy implementation of committee decisions through regular holding of meetings and minimizing meeting time duration (reducing it by 50%);07. Supervised the regular monthly newsletter publication (NSU NEWS) as the Chair of the Editorial Board;08. Took initiative for all local and regional accreditation and ABET accreditation for Engineering school;09. Served as Chief Coordinator for Organizing the celebration of Twenty Four Years of Glory at NSU (1992-2016);10. Organized 19th Convocation of NSU with the presence of honorable Chancellor and the President of the Republic Mr. Mohammad Abdul Hamid;11. Set up Committee for Preventing Sexual Harassment at NSU;12. Raised the number of international students and faculty members at NSU and arranged for Government approval and accommodation for foreign faculty members;13. Active supervision of all four Deans of Schools, Registrar, Controller of Exams, Director of IT, Admissions, Administration, Finance and Accounts, External Affairs, Undergraduate Studies, Graduate Studies and Research, Librarian, Proctor, Director of all Institutes and Centers;14. Smooth supervision of all administration, finance, external affairs, academic affairs of University with care and efficiency;
