    Managed the newsroom production at the Cape Cod Times and The Standard-Times of New Bedford.Consolidated the design and copy desks of two newspaper groups in 2011.Manage the design and copy desk staff, a team that has ranged up to 22.Administered our content management system, JazBox, in conjunction with InDesign and Saxotech.Managed InDesign templates for multiple publications.Revised workflows.Scheduled and managed two copyediting and design shifts at two sites in a 7-day-a-week production environment.Worked collaboratively with corporate IT in a lead business role to introduce major projects and software upgrades.Hired and trained new staff for my team.

    Managed community forum community, setting weekly topics and moderating content. The biggest lesson was to listen to what customers or readers are requesting and try to meet their needs. Managed major software project. Navigated software performance and vendor performance issues. Discovered knack for debugging. Became skilled at public conversation and online community management: loved the community interaction. Did a stint on the print copy desk, as well as served as the online copy editor, posting breaking news and managing the home page.
