Responsibility for the performance and optimization of 196 Verizon cell sites in the Mississippi market, some originally including 1x CDMA, EVDO and LTE technologies; but most recently all LTE and 5G nationwide after the CDMA sunset. Daily monitoring of the respective network, both real time and on a trend basis. Review long term trends to find negative network performance. Monitor capacity of my respective network piece. Design, plan and implement changes to existing network tower elements, such as downtilt and azimuth. Request bids for tower work and verify and monitor post change. Implement parameter trials in my cluster to monitor and seek KPI improvement. Responsible for datafill of new eNB deployment. Datafill responsibilities including parameter verification, inspection of the close out package for proper RET deployment and assignment. Support customer NRB tickets, and, if necessary drive testing analysis and recommendation to said NRB tickets. Support of large retail stores and large corporate customer accounts. Had responsibility for monitoring and maintaining capacity on an iDEN and CDMA network. Maintain performance on both Nortel and Lucent CDMA networks. Analyze and maintain performance on a Nortel EVDO network. Perform frequency planning for any new cell sites and also for system wide retunes. Analyze and troubleshoot network drive tests using an Agilent data collection tool and Windcatcher post processor. Data fill and optimize any new cell sites added to the network. Monitor all aspects of network performance including Block, Drop, and Call fail performance metrics. Address network trouble tickets and, when necessary, provide face to face customer interaction to gain more in-depth knowledge of problems as perceived through the customers' eyes. Manage large scale projects from beginning to end such as the iDEN 900 MHz implementation projects related to re-banding; this required a lot of cross departmental coordination between several different units of the company. Full scale optimization of any new EVDO or voice carrier adds including running EVDO scripts and all applicable data fill. Lead engineer for the ANM network modernization project, which upgraded part of the Mississippi network from 2G Lucent to 3G Nortel.
