    In Utah, I worked on the 11400 South Right-of-Way Services. HDR provided real estate acquisition services on closing out 24 parcels remaining on a portion of the I-15 New Interchange at 11400 South; State Street to Bangerter project. My responsibilities included making offers, researching the offer history, and preparing files for condemnation.I also worked on Bonneville Power Administration’s Hooper Springs to Layne Creek Substation project in Southeastern Idaho. My duties included getting permission for surveying and due diligence and working with the Forest Service, Bureau of Indian Affairs (BIA) and the State of Idaho on acquiring the proper permits.

During his tenure, UTA’s right of way acquisitions grew from acquiring 20 parcels a project to acquiring over 1,000 parcels across five projects in the 2015 program.

I was responsible for due diligence on many property purchases.

    UTA, Technical Report Writer and Project Controls, UT. Prior to joining the right of way staff, Dave prepared the technical reports for the North-South TRAX line and University line. His responsibilities included coordinating change orders and evaluating their impact on the budget. Dave also worked on scheduling the park-and-ride lots for the North-South TRAX line. This experience gave him an understanding of how right of way directly impacts schedule and the critical issues that need to be effectively managed so that right of way does not impact schedule negatively.
