Happy to have been part of such a bright and dedicated team whose sole dream was to help make Tulsa even more awesome. Tulsa's Young Professionals (TYPros) is a Tulsa Metro Chamber affiliated workforce development and civic engagement organization. TYPros is one of the nation's largest YP organizations, and is seen as a model nation-wide for effective community engagement and talent retention. As part of the organization's Leadership Team, I help promote civic engagement by the organization's members, and work to attract/retain young professionals for the Tulsa metropolitan area. As a past committee leader for TYPros' Government Relations Crew, I was responsible for developing opportunities of interaction between municipal, state, and federal governmental officials and our members; in order to engage them on a variety of issues relevant to the mission of the organization and the betterment of our community.As chairman of the organization, I worked with our leadership team to develop and execute a campaign to increase young voter turnout; which was wildly successful. We played a role in increasing young electorate participation by approximately 50% in 3 critical local elections.

I served in a volunteer capacity on the board of a statewide non-profit organization that advocates for, and provides services to, individuals and families living with mental or developmental disabilities. TARC (Tulsa Advocates for the Rights of Citizens with developmental disability) is a chapter member of 'The Arc' with offices in Ada, Oklahoma City, and Tulsa, and services that reach from border to border.
