    For ten months, I was the nanny of Dr. Dye's little girl,Gabby. I would go to his office every morning, four or five days a week, where Gabby and I would be set up in one of his rooms that was changed into a nursery. Gabby was three months old when I started as her nanny, so my days mostly consisted of feeding her every two hours and changing her when necessary. But as she grew, we added more activities: reading, going to the park on nice days, playing with her toys. I helped with some important milestones, like crawling and switching to solid foods. Gabby switched to preschool right before she started walking, unfortunately.

    I was the research assistant for three professors at Ashland University. When I first began, I assisted Dr. Moore with a case study of a subject with memory loss. We had him work through a computer program designed to strengthen brain plasticity, and I observed and noted progress. I moved from that to assist Dr. Mattingly with two studies: one for relationships and one for embodiment. In each, I collected data from the subjects and analyzed it using SPSS. Last, I assisted Dr. Bonfiglio with an optimism priming research project. I collected data from the subjects after randomly assigning them to either be primed for pessimism, optimism, or neither. With all these projects, I presented the research at the Undergraduate Research and Creative Activity (URCA) Symposium. For the final project, I also presented the research in Chicago at the Midwestern Psychological Association (MPA).
