Mr. Doniger formed ACD Consulting Solutions in 2010 to help customers with data, process and technology initiatives, particularly in the area of energy industry -- upstream oil & gas.He brought experience from 40 years focused on industry-wide initiatives and standards formulation in the energy, as well as in the communications and health insurance, including nearly 20 years working at Energistics and its predecessor POSC. This provided a valuable and unique perspective about the motivation and dynamics of organizations -- their operations, their use of commercial products and services, and their sponsorship and involvement with industry standards. In-depth experience came from work for Chevron (and predecessor Gulf Oil) as well with clients of Computer Sciences Corporation -- including large, industry-standards based development of systems for use across all companies in an industry. The mantra of ACD Consulting Solutions is "Attentiveness, Collaboration, and Success", that is, to be attentive to real business needs, to collaborate with the real stakeholders, and to succeed by delivering real value. Efforts to achieve operational business integration and efficiency must be driven by strategic needs and make best use of a combination of commercial offerings, open industry standards, and in-house innovations. Specific needs will be addressed, but this must be done in the context of the strategic principles. From 2015, Mr. Doniger worked full-time with Shell where an energy-industry standards-based software platform for cloud operations emerged. The internal initiative migrated to an Open Group hosted consortium in 2018,, known as the OSDU Forum. From Mr. Doniger's retirement from Shell in March 2022, ACD Consulting Solutions took its place as an active member of the OSDU Forum actively participating and guiding, and offering assistance to all types of industry organizations to accelerate and grow benefits from OSDU Forum-based participation, contributions, and use.
