Overview

We are About Education Zambia National STEM Foundation is a registered Not-For-Profit Organization, dedicated to the promotion and development of STEM education in Zambia. The foundation aims to support national development through the implementation of STEM based programs that will yield educated and empowered individuals, with the capacity to take up roles that will accelerate development. We are about the youth: The Zambian National STEM foundation is a youth focused organization that advocates for the development of STEM education from primary education through to tertiary education levels and beyond the traditional education curriculum. We aim to harness indigenous local knowledge for the development of home-grown talent. We aim to encourage the youth to exploit the wide array of viable career options within STEM. We are about national development: Zambia has been identified as one of the fastest growing economies in Southern Africa but still requires a significant investment in STEM. As Zambia strives towards economic diversification, minds must be transformed in the same vein to explore the opportunities that exist within Zambia’s untapped potential. We believe that STEM provides a solid foundation for the creation of new streams of economic activity that will help to push the development agenda. Mission: Our mission is to promote Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM) knowledge and skills to empower the youth. Vision: To be the leading Zambian based organization that will significantly impact local developmental efforts. Goal: We aim to foster the development of innovative thinking and capture talent at a young age.
