Overview

Women’s Utilities Network (WUN) is a group focused on helping to support and encourage women within the retail utilities space. Its purpose is to create a network of support to help women develop their skills and career opportunities within the sector. WUN is open to any woman working in the retail utilities space – from customer services, operations, sales, smart metering and everything in between. The group is continuing to grow and we offer a mentorship scheme, where we match those requiring mentoring to experienced professional women – all with very successful careers in the industry - who can support and further develop women’s careers, and ultimately help to retain key talent within utilities. Our WUN founders are all successful women with a real passion about the utilities industry and all with a story to tell. The WUN Founders are: Angela Peart – Managing Director at AMPLIFY NOW Angie Needle – Director of Strategy Cadent Gas Hayley Monks – Managing Director at Think, Inspire and Create Jo Butlin – CEO at EnergyBridge Rebecca Sedler – Director of I&C at EDF Energy Each founder has had a unique journey within utilities, and individually have built their careers to the senior positions they hold today. The founders are there to encourage up and coming women in the Industry today, to do the same and help to provide them with a path to do so. We hold events every quarter throughout the country but more recently monthly virtually It’s never been a more exciting time to be part of the utilities space, and the WUN group has been created to promote utilities as a great career choice for women and to support and develop their own unique individual talents – join us!
