Overview

The Virginia Dermatology Society is a community of dermatologists united in promoting leadership, education, advocacy, and professionalism in order to deliver the highest standard of patient care. The goal of Virginia Dermatology Society is to provide opportunities for professional networking, building local peer relationships, advocacy and a voice on local legislative issues, educational and community service opportunities, as well as leadership development. The VDS was awarded the AAD Model State Award in 2019 and 2020. This award recognizes state society achievement in a number of areas including: Education, Patient support, Community service, Legislative and regulatory advocacy efforts, and Membership outreach and development.
