Overview

The Vaccine and Infectious Disease Organization (VIDO) at the University of Saskatchewan is a world leader in infectious disease research and vaccine development. With 160 interdisciplinary personnel, over $225 million in infrastructure and 45 years of experience, our team seeks solutions to prevent and control human and animal infectious disease threats. At VIDO we are focused on protecting Canada and the world from infectious disease: • Our 8 commercialized vaccines have saved the agriculture industry millions of dollars, • Our research is driving the discovery of new vaccines, formulations and delivery methods that will transform the future of public and animal health, and • We are advancing research and training the next generation of researchers to solve infectious disease challenges with our partners. VIDO is open to collaborative and contract research opportunities with government, academic and industry from around the world in an ISO9001 certified environment.
