Overview

Universal Student Exchange, or USE - www.workuse.com, is a leading cultural exchange company based in South America with offices in Peru, Chile, and Argentina. Since 1999, USE has sent over 36,000 students and young professionals to the US to participate in cultural exchange programs. USE prides itself in being the main advocate for the Winter season for the Summer Work Travel program. We offer over 2500 job positions annually in luxury hotels, ski resorts and waterparks, and have worked with over 120 employers in the United States such since 1999. USE works with Department of State designated Sponsor organizations, which allows us to succesfully place nearly 3,000 participants in the Summer Work Travel, Internship and Trainee programs annually. Exchange Visitor Programs: Work and Travel: The Work and Travel program provides international college or university students the oppportunity to come to live and work in the US through a temporary job, and learn about the local culture. In order to qualify for the program, students must be enrolled full time at an academic institution that is accredited by their local government. Additionally, a good grasp of the English language is required to successfully interact and do a job in the US. Internship: The Internship program is for international college or university students to gain professional experience in their professional or occupational field in the US. Students who have graduated from an academic institution recognized and accredited by the local government no more than 12 months ago can participate in this program category. Trainee: The Trainee program is for international professionals to work in the United States and enhance their expertise and skills in their academic or occupational field. In order to qualify for this program category, participants must have a degree from a foreign college or university that is accredited by the local government and at least one year of work experience in the field outside of the US. Participants can also qualify for the trainee program if they have five years of experience in the field where they are seeking training.
