Overview
Entered into The Doomesday Book in 1085, Sudeley Castle has been in and out of royal ownership throughout much of its existence. The monarchs with whom Sudeley is associated are amongst the most famous in English history. Together they present an extraordinary tapestry of monsters and martyrs, of triumph and catastrophe. Sudeley’s story is also about strong and resourceful women. At several of the most dangerous moments in its history it fell to a chatelaine to ensure that the estate was preserved. Today, Sudeley Castle is home to the Dent-Brocklehurst family who cordially invite you to share in their past and present, to visit their family home, and to experience this unique and enthralling tale of our history. Nestled within the wooded rolling hills at the heart of the Cotswolds, Sudeley Castle is surround by its own 1,200-acre estate. Comprised of award-winning gardens, breath-taking views, romantic ruins and a beautiful stately household, Sudeley Castle is the perfect home for your next unforgettable experience. At Sudeley Castle we take pride in every element of our unique heritage and feel privileged to share this with you. We have lots to offer: a fabulous visitor experience, the most romantic weddings, tailor-made hospitality, corporate events and so much more.
