The Schenectady Community Ministries is an interfaith, community-based collaborative founded in 1966 to address issues of marginalization and disenfranchisement in Schenectady County. For over 30 years, SiCM focused on food insecurity as our primary way to address the gaps many in our community face in living a family, community, and social life that is equitable, just, and culturally affirming. Through this work, SiCM stands on its commitments to social justice, anti-racism, racial reconciliation and equity, and serves as a leader in the community by being a safe, trusted, generative space to discern means to ensure wellbeing for the community.
