  I started my journey at Schenectady Community Ministries as a Siena Summer Service Associate (Americorps VISTA) with a full-time Intern position which then transferred to full-time employment on August 15th. Achievements Include:Feeding approximately 150 children as a part of the Summer Meals Program.Initiating two social media collaborations with Casa Visco Sauce and the Regional Food Bank of Northeastern New York.My tasks are to:- develop Instagram and Facebook posts that detail SiCM's many programs offered to the community such as Summer Meals, the Food Pantry, and the Schenectady Urban Farms, and other posts that have included recipes using ingredients from the Food Pantry and Farms.- Take photos to promote programs and events occurring at SiCM.- Assisting -> eventually Supervising - at Summer Meals sites by ensuring state-set protocols are followed, handing out meals to children, and filling out meal count sheets as a way to track and keep inventory for future meal purchases and grant purposes.- Filling the period pantry, monitoring inventory, and collecting data for research purposes and to ensure pantry protocol is followed.- Helping out on the farms by - Pruning Lavender, Harvesting Calendula, Potatoes, Peppers, Zucchini, Feeding Chickens & transplanting & watering lettuce.   During my Internship at the SUNY Schenectady Foundation, I worked under the guidance of Sarah Boink and Marianne Senneca to assist in the planning and management of the 31st annual Food for Thought and All that Jazz in-person, and online auctions. Event Tasks included: Welcoming guests & Checking off the sign in sheet Providing directions to guests (nearest bathroom or parking lot) Assisting with the coat check Assisting with Moving equipment between event locations. Monitoring the auction - answering questions, checking bid-sheets Gathering, Packing, and Delivering the won auction items to the lucky winners. Daily Tasks included: Sorting and folding of letters, labeling envelopes, and getting mail ready for packing so it can be sent off to donors. Purpose was to solicit funding for the Food for Thought and All that Jazz event which would be used to enhance the student experience at SUNY Schenectady with scholarships and upgraded facilities. Bringing mail down to the mail room and keeping it organized so everything arrives at its destination safely, as well as delivering mail to its respective inter-offices. Development of a brand board that details the color palette for the logo and physical decor at the event. Creation of icons for the online auction that creatively and effectively displays each item that can be won. Outlined emails within Viewspark (a program used to send out emails to collected lists) - including designing media for corporate shoutouts within the program. Setup and Management of the Online Auction through BiddingforGood and Panorama (Software and Website used to organize and launch an online auction.) - Includes creation of drafts for Auction items, developing a list of donors with contact information so every item will be linked to their respective donors. Designing of flyers and signs to be used for college events, such as a lunch and learn for intellectual property and an alumni bowling night, as well as signs for the in-person auction. Show less
