Overview
The Diplomatic Quarter General Authority (DQGA) has been established based on the Council of Ministers decision No. (165) dated 19 Rabi Al-Awal 1440H, corresponding to 27 November 2018. The Regulatory Authority is linked to the Prime Minister and based in Riyadh. The mission of the Authority is to manage and develop the Diplomatic Quarter, physically, economically, socially, culturally, historically and environmentally, while providing its public facilities and services. As detailed below: 1) To draw up and develop the general policies of the diplomatic quarter and to develop the necessary plans and programs to implement them. 2) Supervising, implementing and following up on project planning, programs and events in the diplomatic quarter. 3) Development of diplomatic quarter plans. 4) Coordinate with the concerned authorities to determine the licensing areas in the diplomatic quarter, issue them, and establish the necessary controls and special requirements. 5) Coordinate and organize the efforts between government agencies working in the diplomatic quarter, which contribute to achieving the Authority objectives. 6) Cooperation and exchange of experiences with regional and international bodies and organizations to contribute to achieving the Authority objectives. 7) Participate in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia representation in regional and international bodies and organizations to contribute to the achievement of the objectives of the Authority.
