Rekom Biotech is a biotechnology company focused on the design and manufacturing of IVD reagents for the in vitro diagnosis of human and animal infectious diseases, and allergies. Our main aim is the optimisation of the antigenicity and the reduction of potential specificity problems. In order to reach this goal, we validate the antigen immunoreactivity towards specimen sera. Our antibodies can be used as the raw material for an antigen test or as a calibrator as a positive control for an antibody test. Recently, we have expanded our portfolio with sorbents for their use in in vitro diagnosis. We currently offer a sorbent for anti-cross-reactive carbohydrate determinants (CCD) antibodies, with which anti-CCD antibodies will be kidnapped, and the specificity of the assay will increase. We also offer custom-made proteins and antibodies service to support the R&D of IVD manufacturers that want to develop a new assay and cannot find the right reagent.
