Refugee Protection International

Non-profit Organization Management

Overview

Refugee Protection International (RPI) co-designs, supports, and oversees humanitarian projects for conflict-affected civilians in Ukraine, Syria, and neighboring host countries. We believe in our refugee-led/grassroots partner organizations leading implementation onsite. These projects have served 378,000 refugees and internally displaced persons in the areas of education, health care, shelter, protection, and self-reliance. Amid an unprecedented global displacement crisis, we offer a scalable, locally-driven model of humanitarian aid with refugee-led organizations on the front lines of war. We are light on overhead, strong on project design, and supportive of local relief capacity. Formed in response to the Syrian humanitarian crisis, we are expanding our partnerships to support humanitarian aid for Ukraine and other countries in crisis. Our collaboration prioritizes empowering women and children in urban areas and informal camps. Children have a special place in our hearts and motivate much of our work. By collaborating with inspiring refugee-led organizations, we aspire to more equitable, efficient, and sustainable international relief work. Refugee Protection International is a U.S. 501(c)(3) public charity with 509(a)(1) status.
