Noura Books Publishing (PT Mizan Publika)

Book and Periodical Publishing

Overview

Noura Books is formed by the merger of two book publishers under Mizan Group: Lingkar Pena Publishing House (2004) & Hikmah (2003). It was formally formed in early 2012. During its four-year journey, Noura has published many bestselling books, both local & translated. One of them is Dahlan’s Shoes, which was welcome with a high enthusiasm from Indonesian readers. Apart from having sold for hundreds & thousands of copies, Dahlan’s Shoes has also been adapted into a movie. Novelizations of other prominent figures include Athirah by Alberthiene Endah, about the mother of the Vice President of Indonesia Jusuf Kalla. Noura has a strong point in fantasy novels too, including the series written by Rick Riordan: Percy Jackson & the Olympians, The Kane Chronicles, The Heroes of Olympus and Magnus Chase and the Gods of Asgard. Moreover, in order to familiarize Indonesian literary works to young readers, Noura republishes classic literary works of prominent authors such as Budi Darma (The Bloomington People) and Kuntowijoyo (The Forbidden Love of Flowers). This is in conjunction with its publication of international classic works from Jane Austen, Georgette Heyer, and Edgar Allan Poe. For nonfiction, it publishes a variety of genres such as parenting, self-help, psychology, politics, travel and many more. For example, Steal Like an Artist & Show Your Work! (Austin Kleon), Ayah Edy’s parenting series, and Happiness Inside (Gobind Vahsdev). In its religion division, Noura strengthens the spirit of Mizan Group, which is to encourage the growth of compassionate and tolerant Indonesian Muslims. Therefore, Noura publishes the Compassionate Islam series, as well as the works of legendary Muslim scholars like Al-Ghazali, Imam Syafi’i, and many more. Furthermore, our Children’s and Direct Selling divisions contribute to the world of Indonesian children’s book publishing. The Amazing Kids series and The Fable Cart series receive a warm welcome from both parents and children.
