Street Homeless Animal Project’s mission is to alleviate suffering of companion animals of homeless citizens and keep them together as a happy, healthy family. We assist the street homeless community in obtaining veterinary care, food, and supplies for their companion animals. We collaborate closely with Smith Veterinary Hospital, Santa Fe Animal Shelter, and other vet care businesses for spaying and neutering, vaccinations, preventative care and emergency services. We also partner with local businesses to provide food and other necessities. We advocate and educate the public and the city about the importance of helping our homeless community.
