Northeast Initiative Development Agency (NEIDA) is a not-for profit organization registered in 2012 under the Societies Act in Kohima, Nagaland. NEIDA has been promoted by the Tata Trusts as the nodal agency for the Northeast Initiative. NEIDA currently operates in Arunachal Pradesh, Mizoram and Nagaland and works in the areas of rural livelihoods, drinking water and sanitation and sports promotion. Through our various initiatives we are currently impacting the lives of 82,000 households in more than 700 villages. NEIDA works towards improving the quality of lives of communities that it works with through our engagement in the following sectors: i) Rural Livelihoods ii) Forest Based Livelihoods iii) Drinking Water and Sanitation, and iv) Sports Promotion
