Overview

Entrepreneurs Associates (EA) is an organization of First Generation Entrepreneurs (FGE) founded by Ashoka Fellow & Schwab Fellow, Neichute Doulo in September 2000. Since its inception, EA has been committed to the promotion, development and growth of entrepreneurship for social change and economic progress. What began with 16 Core members led by our CEO launching the organization with a monthly contributions now has over 20K members spread across Nagaland and Manipur. The successful FGEs who are active members of EA practice social responsibility by way of sharing skills, capital and market in launching other FGEs. We are convinced that entrepreneurship will usher in a new era of development and growth for Nagaland and the entire north eastern states of India as local people begin to control and utilize resources for growth , generating employment and income. The EA Thrift and Credit Corporative Federation Limited (EATACOL) is a Public-Private Partnership (PPP) promoted by EA with the Corporative Department, Govt of Nagaland to develop Thrift and Credit culture in Nagaland. EA has been mobilizing Faith Based Organizations, women organizations, and farmer clubs for financial inclusion. Working with Horticulture Dept. Govt of Nagaland, EA has trained and mobilised 8 FPOs working with 5000 farmers in Nagaland. Since 2004, EA has been working with commercial banks, NBFCs for financial inclusion & works with a micro NBFC to exclusively fund Micro enterprises as Banks shy away from funding them. Promoting Agri business, EA started Farmers Clusters in 2004 and social enterprises for aggregating farm produces and marketing. Some cash crops EA helped come up in Nagaland are Kiwi, Large Cardamom, Potato, Cabbage, Naga spicy ginger & King Chilly, Honey, Native banana chips, Persimmon, Avocado, Turmeric, etc EA’s Trees for Wealth and Reverse Urbanization in-house programs are targeted to impact 1 million people by 2050 generating 3 million jobs in NER India.
