Born out of Tangent’s LaunchBox incubator, Navigate Health is building a digital health platform to ease the burden of self-reporting on patients suffering with chronic illness. Self-reporting involves the patient recording their symptoms, medication, diet, and lifestyle factors several times a day over time, to hopefully inform treatment. Compliance is as low as 9%, as writing these down in a notebook, making a note on your phone, or using several apps in combination places too much of a burden on the patient. On top of that, the patient is more likely to comply when they feel good, introducing biases into the data. Finally, if data is collected, it must be analysed by eye. Through our apps, the patient can log their symptoms and any other factors quickly and easily, requiring as few as two clicks. This data can be passed through analytic algorithms to identify trends and influencers in the patients symptoms. To close the loop, this information is made available in a dashboard to both the patient and the clinician, for the former to adjust lifestyle, and the latter to adjust treatment plan. We are making it easier to collect better Patient Related Outcomes (PRO’s) to help patients to find treatments that work for them.
