Montessori Rive Gauche is a small bi-lingual (french and english) school for children from 3 to 12 years old. It is located on the left bank of Lake Geneva in Collonge-Bellerive (8 minutes drive from Geneva town centre) in a peaceful environment with a 3'000 sqm garden. « Help me to be independent ». This is what the child asks of the adult. The Montessori method takes advantage of specific moments called Sensitive Periods during which the child will be naturally driven to certain activities. The teacher recognises those moments and guides the child to the appropriate material. She presents it to him, enabling him to discover and work with it.
