One Shell. One Bowl. One Tribe. The Modernesian Kava Social was founded to share the Pasifika ritual of communal kava drinking. On the islands of Melanesia, Micronesia, and Polynesia, the kava circle is where villages have gathered for millennia to share drink, knowledge, wisdom, and culture. We grew up this way in Polynesia and look to continue this kava drinking ritual as our voyage takes us through a new world of Kava we call Modernesia. Kava, a relaxing root beverage from the South Pacific, has made a name for itself in the western world for its natural stress and anxiety-reducing properties. Kava relaxes the body and mind without impairing your conscience. This provides a great alternative social scene to one with alcohol. The Modernesian is a place to relax and unwind with kava after a long days or weeks work. A place to escape the fast pace world we live in and enjoy each others company on kava time.
