Overview

Made in Kibera is the first professional audiovisual studio in the heart of Kibera, Africa´s biggest slum. It aims to provide all the tools necessary to produce quality music recordings and videos in a sustainable way. Made in Kibera is more than a cultural project. It is a collective, a movement that was formed organically amongst the creative community of Kibera. Behind this initiative is Kibera Creative Arts (KiCA) a community based organization of young artists who came together in 2006. Now supported by Kubuka NGO, this multiform initiative aims to explore talent, share ideas & empower the creative community of the slum.
