Overview
For more than 200 years, we have been developing technologies to measure and visualise the physical world and to shape the world based on the data obtained. Today, we deliver a comprehensive portfolio of sensor, software and autonomous solutions that capture any environment, place, building, object or even living being. From a combination of measurement data and imagery, our customers create a digital 3D model of what they have captured. This digital twin, in which every detail is accurately represented, improves all of our understanding of our environment. Many different industries are using these 3D digital models to plan and design a sustainable and autonomous future for us and for our world - whether it's - between the walls of a building, - within the cadastral boundaries of a property, - in the investigation of a crime scene, - in the middle of a factory site, - deep inside the Gotthard rail tunnel, - building a gigafactory, or - the construction of an emission-free city district. But our technologies are not just for mapping the existing world and planning change based on that. They are also essential for the actual execution of the planning, the actual building, and thus the physical design of a more sustainable and autonomous future. Sensor, software and autonomous solutions enable - the exact positioning of the planned changes, - support the simple, safe, fast and precise execution of construction projects with intelligent guidance and control systems, - finally, visualise the newly created for a target-performance comparison. The now modified digital twin in turn serves as the basis for further planning for the future.
