Overview
The Institute for Economic Justice (IEJ) is a progressive economic policy think tank working towards a just society characterised by an equitable distribution of resources, democratic economic decision-making, rights realisation, and planetary wellbeing. Founded in 2018 by a group of South African academics, activists, and former government policymakers, the IEJ strives to advance economic justice through rigorous research and policy alternatives and to empower progressive social forces in South Africa and on the continent to create systemic change.
