The angel came to the myrrhbearing women at the tomb and said: Myrrh is fitting for the dead, but Christ has shown himself a stranger to corruption! So proclaim: The Lord is risen, granting the world great mercy. With the blessing of the First Hierarch of the Russian Church Abroad, His Eminence, Metropolitan Hilarion, the first divine services were held at the newly opened Holy Myrrhbearers Orthodox 'Mission' in Harrisonburg, Virginia, on February 3, 2012.
