Overview
GlamourGals is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit whose mission is to inspire and organize teens to provide ongoing companionship and complementary beauty makeovers to women living in senior homes. We are creating a movement of compassionate teen leaders working to end elder isolation and currently have about 100 chapters based in high schools and colleges around the country. At a national level, GlamourGals works closely with volunteer leaders to ensure their chapters are successful and sustainable. Not only do we send monthly emails and occasional mailings with updates, reminders, and more, we also reach out to volunteers individually through phone calls, text messages, and email. We also provide every chapter with all the cosmetic supplies they need, including disposable applicators. We believe that volunteers should be honored for their service and offer GlamourGals volunteers a variety of rewards to show them our appreciation for their time and effort. These rewards include scholarships, leadership awards, and recommendation letters. GlamourGals has been featured on The Montel Show, The Oprah Winfrey Show, CBS, Seventeen magazine, Glamour magazine, CosmoGirl! magazine, and more.
