Overview

The First Responder Network Authority, through an innovative public-private partnership, is developing the first nationwide public safety broadband network. FirstNet provides first responders the advanced technologies they need to save lives and keep their communities safe. FirstNet is a single, interoperable, highly secure wireless broadband communications network for America’s fire, law enforcement, EMS and other public safety personnel. The network helps solve the communications challenges that public safety personnel face in day-to-day operations and emergency response. Learn more at FirstNet.gov. Chartered in 2012, the First Responder Network Authority is an independent authority within the U.S. Department of Commerce.
