Since its establishment at Baur au Lac in Zurich, Switzerland in 1960, ECWIS has expanded to become the warm home to 13 Societies of Friends of the Weizmann Institute of Science throughout Europe. These are: Austria, Belgium, Denmark, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Italy, Liechtenstein, the Netherlands, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, and WYEN – the Weizmann Young European Network – a Pan-European club for entrepreneurial minds and young business leaders of the future.
