ETESA TRAFO (Electrotecnica Extremeña, S.A.) is the main Spanish owned manufacturer of Power Transformers. We combine more than 50 years engineering and manufacturing expertise with state of the art manufacturing and testing facilities for the design and manufacturing of Power Transformers rating up to 500 MVA and 420 kV. We are located in Malpartida de Plasencia, just 2 hours drive from Madrid. Our manufacturing facilities are fitted with the latest technology and equipment to produce high power and special electric transformers. The integrated manufacturing system covers from tank, core and windings manufacturing to assembly, treatment and testing of fabricated units. At our ETESA Plant we design and manufacture a complete range of Power, Grid, System, Primary transformers and auto-transformers to be used in generation, transport and distribution of energy. We also produce rail/ traction transformers and special transformers (Mobile substations, grounding transformers, etc.) Moreover we are strongly skilled on design and manufacturing transformers for industrial applications (Arc furnace transformers with On Load tap changer, Induction furnace transformers with Off Load tap changers, etc.) Engineering, design, manufacturing and associated services are performed under integrated quality, environmental and HSE system, third party certified according ISO 9001, ISO 14000 and OSHAS 18000 standards.
